Okay all, I’m trippin’!  I heard this album last night for the first time and am floored!  For those who haven’t heard it yet, listen to it!  So this is what he did, he took a bunch of old Soul Music and remade it.  Awesome, totally awsome!  The LAST thing I’d expect from Rod!  Enjoy!!!!!

PERSONALLY… and yes, I need that disclaimer, cuz I’m about to start some grumbling…. I believe that Hip Hop started as Skate music.  Flash back to Saturday night at the rink, white tube socks with the different bands of colors, short shorts, rainbow t shirts two sizes too small and some sleek skates with those neon wheels.  We took dance to a whole new level on skates and some of us just couldn’t let it go.  Our kids and grandkids couldn’t DARE be caught dead listening to our music so they created the newest version… Hip Hop.
