Mary J. Blige decided to cover Led Zeppelin

US soul performer Mary J. Blige is currently recording new version of Led Zeppelin’s classic song Stairway To Heaven. «I think this song is not hard at all because it’s based on pure emotion», said singer, who has recruited Blink-182′s Travis Barker and famous guitarist Steve Vai to help her.

«You gotta get lost in the rock ‘n’ roll moment of it all, and once you get lost in the rock ‘n’ roll moment of it all you can do is scream to the top of your lungs or go as low as you need to go. It’s not a head thing – it’s a spirit thing», claimed she.

Cover on Stairway To Heaven will appear as a bonus track on the extended edition of Mary J. Blige’s last studio album Stronger With Each Tear. The record is set to hit the stores in March.
