Beyonce and Taylor Swift set Grammy Awards records
Grammy Awards ceremony was held yesterday, on January 31, in Los Angeles. Beyonce has set new record, becoming the person who has won most number of honors during the one night. Singer was honored in six categories, including Best Song for the track Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) and Best Female Pop Performance for Halo.
At the same time, Taylor Swift has won in Album Of The Year category and became the youngest person ever to receive this award. Singer, who is at the age of 20, was awarded for her second record Fearless.
The list of this year’s winners also includes Green Day (Rock Album Of The Year for 21st Century Breakdown), Kings Of Leon (Record Of The Year for Use Somebody), Eminem (Best Rap Album for Relapse) and others. Michael Jackson received posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award.
The ceremony featured several collaborations. Lady Gaga and Elton John performed together, as well as Drake, Eminem, Lil Wayne and Blink-182’s Travis Barker. Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood and Usher performed Michael Jackson’s Earth Song as a tribute to the singer.
